2007.06.29 @ 01:42:50 Hello creatures

When you think about animals, and what animals do to typically make a mess of your car, there's two things that come to mind. First, there's the bugs. Anyone who has ever driven in a remotely rural area knows how fun bugs are. Those of you not in Arizona, yes, there are bugs here too. The second thing is birds. They like to poop on cars. I'm 99% sure they derive satisfaction from this. There's the rare case of a cat or other small creature climbing around on a car, maybe scratching it, or the even more rare instance of a large creature creating a big dent, but bugs and birds, thats pretty much a normal thing.

So today I got both. For the second time in my life, there was a swarm of large bugs over the highway. Last time was a couple years ago, on my way to work on the 202 right over top the country club bridge. Today was on my way to work right after the dobson bridge. Same exact deal, big swarm of bugs, good size, very juicy. So the mini got bug splattered. Then tonight I stopped at Costco on my way home from work, and being 110 degrees out I parked in the shade... which had a tree partially hanging over the spot. I'm sure you know the rest.

So I just finished cleaning the bugs and bird poo off the car. I didn't do the best of jobs, plenty of water spots will be left, but at least they won't get dried into the paint.
