I was in the 6th grade at the time. The threat of war loomed in the air. I remember sitting in class and Mr. Hiskey was talking to us about how if we did go to war it could affect our lives. If for no other reason, we should be concerned and informed of the war. Wars can last a long time. To a 6th grader, you don't really think about the fact that you might be drafted if this war thing really does go down.
I typically don't post very many entries about things happening that the media is covering. However, we are now at war - right or wrong is a whole other discussion. I am for one very glad that our threat was not idle. If there's one thing I dislike it's idle threats.
In other news, today was busy and yet very cool. I had my meeting with my applied project team, then dinner with matt & al & jason - jason from our c.s. undergrad classes. After that we had a few folks over to watch BTTF part 2, and also part 3. Tim entertained us with some music beforehand which I do enjoy. Afterwards we watched the news for a bit to see the war stuff going on. Quite a day!
