Went to San Diego for labor day weekend... drove out... not a bad drive other than the insanely long line at the border patrol check... took 15 minutes of crawling on a slight incline on the interstate at a speed just slower than you can go in 1st gear, so lots of clutch work... i think it started to get hot after a while... arrrg. The highlights of the weekend (in no particular order): an early morning bicycle ride to Del Mar for breakfast, costco (ok, I'm a big nerd), meeting with pb, board games, tiramisu, church, wedding at Quail Botanical Gardens, and a bike ride up Mount Soledad - an 822 foot tall hill, as our pre-labor-day-meal workout. That ride was with a group of folks, and we took it pretty slowly. Here's we are at the top... I don't yet have a picture of the whole group, but you can at least see me sportin the new jersey and whatnot...

Drove back Monday night late, wasn't particularly fun... and my car is still covered in bugs. I'm half tempted to go out and wash it right now... but I think I'll wait and do it this weekend, along with the billions of other things on my todo list (perhaps that's a *slight* overstatement).
