I went to Best Buy, fully expecting to trade in my Hero for a Samsung Moment. I didn't. I didn't even play with the Moment, the problem was size & weight. No, it's not that much bigger, but it certainly *seems* a lot bigger. It was a lot heavier.

I do want to get back to the battery life issue, but so far it is working ok. I can go almost 2 days without charging. I think I could tweak it a bit more, but haven't done so yet. I think the best thing is to simply use the gmail web apps for reading email instead of the built-in reader, and turn of syncing.

In other news, the neighbors had a fire going in their back yard. I looked outside and thought "huh, it's kinda odd for there to be fog developing at 4:30 in the afternoon". Then I looked out back. Oh. I checked it out, and it seemed self contained. Someone else apparently was a little more concerned because the sheriff folk showed up. It still smells a bit smokey outside.
