This past Tuesday one of my instructors gave us a little "uncle speach". He went from "Dr. Dan" to "Uncle Dan". It was one of those "I know its the end of the semester, but don't forget to take care of yourself." Good advice, difficult to follow. Went something like: don't forget to eat and sleep right - "you know what you need" - otherwise you're likely to get sick - "and now is not the time of the year you want to be getting sick." Too true, too true.

Interestingly enough, I've definitly not been very good about that. It's unusual, I typically don't have any problem forcing myself to go to bed and getting the necessary tasks done so that I have time to take care of the rest. I'm making an effort, but I almost always catch back up on things by the end of the week. The yo-yo effect of my weeks hasn't been very healthy thou, combining that with some minor things constantly weighing on my mind - like selling my car, getting a job, moving, getting my cell phone replaced - among others, and that can spell trouble. Anyway, I'm trying to not let any of those things get to me, to let God handle it - which doesn't mean that I sit back and do nothing, but rather take comfort in knowing that his plan will happen no matter what. Leave the worrying behind and do what needs to be done.

We watched a video in my knowledge management class that talked about AI and such, made me long for my days back in comp sci. Just one more month of this "business"!
