To say that not much has been going on wouldn't be true, but certainly nothing life-shattering. However, I bring you this journal of seemingly insigifnicant events because they are not really insignificant, life as usual isn't always a bad thing. But, before I get to droaning on about my thoughts on things like that, here's what's been up.

Last Wednesday was the first CALM of the year, otherwise known as Campus Ambassadors Large Meeting. As a group, we don't have as many musical leaders as we've had in the past, we'll see what happens with that. The music & worship was one of the things that drew me to CA in the first place, or impressed me the most, not having seen a group of people my age who were really singing out to God with all that they had. I was used to people just singing because it was time to sing and that's what they had to do. Perhaps over the past few years I've began to call into question some of what is done in the name of "worshipping". My favorite thing that Julie used to say was that worshiping is "Recognizing that God is God and we are not". Other's have their own definitions, but that's my favorite. Singing clearly isn't the only way to do this, but it's a good avenue. Ooops, sorta stopped talking about events... back on track.

Wednesday night after CALM was I-Hop, very fun, lots of people. Ooops, backup... Wednesday afternoon I met with my boss. He wants to hire me on as a TA as well as my current RA position with him, which would be an extra 5-10 hours of work per week. I'm debating if the money earned and the time required, etc... if it would be worth it. I'd appreciate any input you might have.

Thursday was my fun day of 8.5 hours of class. I was in class. A lot. I forgot how easy it is go doze, even having had enough sleep at night. Even thou we're only a week past halfway thru, things seem to be starting to wrap-up for this trimester already. Lots of group work going on, more to come.

Friday I didn't have class, but I did have a team meeting at 4 that lasted until 5:30 or so. I had to do a bit of homework in the morning for that meeting, and took care of a few other things. Afterwards was bowling @ sparky's den with CA. We had quite a few people. I bowled 2 games, did pretty well the first game (over 100, something like 115), and as usualy my second game declined much, to something like 75-85ish. I guess I'm just weak :). Afterwards we went to Michelle & Peggy's place, which I hadn't seen their new apartment. Peggy made cookies, as she's ever so famous for doing, and we watched a movie too. I've seen better movies, but I've seen worse too.

Saturday, I went out to Al's house tor a bit to wash my car and drop off stuff for him. Helped him wash his cars, and brought my camera so he could take photos of his old pontiac to put it up for sale. Visiting Al is always nice, very layed back, chance to just chat about whatever and catch up. We understand each other almost too well, and I always love hearing his input on stuff. His logic is almost always dead-on, and sometimes catches me off guard.

Saturday night Dan & Meghan attempted to round up people to play minigolf. Dewey had the high score, and I was one stroke behind. We got to chase down a few balls that got hit off the course, by a few players who will remaine nameless :). Afterwards some of us returned to campus and played some 5-handed call for your partner 10 point pitch. I was so proud, it was the first time I explained the game to a group of people who were actually wanted to play it, and they all understood well enough that I was in last place almost the whole game. I love pitch, especially 4/5/6 point pitch, but that's a 4 player game, but fast paced so you have opportunities to switch partners if ya want. 5-handed is nice 'cause you have different partners each round. After that we played partner Spades. I don't recommend starting this game at midnight, unless you want to stay up late. We were all pretty tired by the end, and weren't playing our best - making the game drag on even longer by teams going set. Regardless, it was a fun game. I think I prefer Oh-Hell instead, it has a definite ending point :).

Today I got up earlyish and went to church w/ my Grandparents. They got to see my "new" apartment for the first time, which is always cool. Afterwards we went out to eat at YC's, which is always good, and stopped by the Goodwill store to walk off some of our lunch. Had some good conversations, and they left early this afternoon to head back to my bro's up in Phoenix where they're staying for a few more weeks. They brought down my brother's computer which was being crash happy, but so far it's ran for an hour without crashing on me. Go figure.

So that's where I'm at. Lots of time hanging out with friends, family, and doing the normal routine of things. I can't say I've been bored, or I probably would've updated this sooner. I've talked a lot about the past, so a bit about the future. First thing I'm going to have to worry about is this job offer. The job sounds like fun, but I don't really need the money, and I don't want to be super busy. I really like my current state of business, but at the same time I think I'd enjoy the work. We'll see what happens. I'm still searching for a new car... I'm hoping to find one soon, since my car's A/C is not functionable. Lastly, I've started finally really going after some jobs myself. I sent out a resume & cover letter (electronically) to Edward Jones, who has IT offices in St. Louis & Tempe, and has been rated as the top company to work for by Fortune magazine 2 years running. I also have a good inside with Boeing, Al says that they're going to need to be hiring here by the end of the year. I need to make sure I have my resume updated on all the career websites, and make sure I don't miss a good interview there. Things are looking up.
